I've been using Windows 7 for a couple of weeks now and am quite impressed. Just wondering if anyone else is having this particular niggling issue. I have an ATI Radeon HD 4850 and have hooked up my TV to my computer through the HDMI port.
Back in Windows XP I could modify the resulting multimonitor setup in the Catalyst Control Panel which gave a lot of room for tweaking the settings to best match the resolution of my TV.
But in Windows 7, it seems these settings are only managed through the Win 7 multimonitor dialog. Which means that there's less scope to choose non-standard resolutions. For one reason or another the display on my TV looks best at something like 750x680 pixels, I used to be able to "force" this resolution in the Catalyst Control Panel in Win XP, but in Win 7 the lowest I can go is 800x600 in the windows multi-monitor dialog as there is no option in the Catalyst Control Center to tweak the resolution, which gives me an annoyingly cropped and somewhat fuzzy display on the TV.
Anyone else have a similar issue? Or have any idea in how I can return control of the multimonitor setup to Catalyst?
