I don't think pre-orders start until July 15th
All good retailers I suspect. I think there will be some e-tailers that will do pre-order schemes when you buy hardware at the same time, so look out for those!
Glad you started this thread as I (in the UK) will definatly be going for this £49 offer.
I understand, due to the lack of testing of the new (without IE8 due to the EU rules) we will get the full version and not an upgrade version for this price, which is great.
My only question (and many others) seems to be right now, what about the 32bit / 64-bit question.
With Memory now very cheap, and installing a new OS, more and more are interested in the 64-bit version (I'm running the pre relase 64-bit version now)
But there is no mention made anywhere yet about 32bit / 64bit versions when it comes to pre-ordering?
Does anyone know how this is goingto work?
Thanks.
Just as long as it comes with a full license as well.
You get both 32bit and 64bit versions in the same box.My only question (and many others) seems to be right now, what about the 32bit / 64-bit question.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I guess the query of the "you get 2 discs in the same box" is confusing as when you look at the new packaging, there seems to be only room for 1 disc inside.
Don't be fooled by the size of the case though, I have a few older PC games consisting of 3 CDs and they all fit into one DVD-size case, stacked together.
Now to decide which version to get!
My only question is would this be cost effective, or would it actually be cheaper for them to sell them seperately again, but make the alternative media a freebie and suck up the cost of delivery? Seriously - how many people will actually want/need the 32 bit version? My guess is that the vast majority of people going through the retail channel for their OS purchase (ie not the OEMs selling low end machines such as netbooks) would gain little by being able to pickup the 32 bit version at the same time.
