Is there any way of getting rid of the "Outlook is not installed for this user" message that pops up on starting outlook (which clearly starts) after windows updates, without reinstalling the whole damned thing and losing all me mail?

Unless you have changed thing, all your mail, contacts and celendar should be in
C:\Users\<user name>\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst
copy/move that and nothing is lost. Oh, rules and account details can also be exported, the re-imported after a wipe.
Arse. Can I back up the rules/accounts etc without running Outlook?
