I know there's a 2TB limitation for local disks.
Just want to know if the same 2TB limit applies to a networked drive on 32bit XP.
So only the server would be 64bit, is it possible?

I would guess that a 32bit OS could access files fine on a share that goes over 2TB.
Athough it's not something I have tried....but by the fact you do not access the file system directly, I think it should work.

Blimey a 2TB share seems massive. We have 1 TB share, connecting from a Win XP 32 bit OS.
No problem with accessing more than 2TB over a network.
I have done this from a RAID array on a Thecus N5200 and a RIAD array hosted on a Vista 64bit box. It's about 6.5TB.
Ok thanks i will try.
It would be a pain if i have to upgrade everything to 64bit.
can still have issues with applications unable to read more than the 32bit limit because of the way a file handle works.
but as for accessing the share, thats fine, it dosen't see how many files are there, or try to address them like that.
