    Question Removing Windows Messenger.the add remove doesnt really remove it.so how?

    who do u remove windows messenger.cause i did the whole add remove windows components thing.but when i use outlook express etc.it sitll appears.i have tried disabling it in outlook but no joy.i once did a search and found its destination.but now i cant find it lol.

    I was having the same problem, i just manualy deleted the files from My Computer

    There is one drawback. In Win XP & Win 98, if you take out Messenger, and use Outlook for your e-mail, Outlook is slowed down quite significantly. I know, I tried it.

    I just use regedit or regcleaner to stop Messenger loading on boot now.
