    Backup Exec problems, assistance needed!

    Where would the best place be to get some help with my work server, Veritas Backup Exec is playing silly buggers!

    When I first got contracted in to maintain the network etc I noticed the backups had failed and promptly got to fixing that by creating new job and tailoring the OFO (open file agent) to the needs of the machine etc.

    However, the backup has failed all of a sudden and thereafter for 3 weeks (*gulp*) hasn't workone once, its been very close but some times it doesn't even start!

    I've tried changing the OFO and reducing what it backs up but it still doesn't manage to complete. New tapes used each day.

    Any ideas?

    I'll do a smaller run and see, problem is the list goes something like this;

    33gb fail to complete
    9gb fail to complete
    26gb
    17

    etc etc

    All different sizes from 0 - 38 (o so close!) so I'm not sure a smaller run would help me test, it will probably complete but then the next one might not?

    Generally an OFO error or access denied, so its obviously associated with an open file or folder. Not sure how to get around it though as our system is always live!
