    Technet

Does anyone know what happens to the software you download and install when your Technet subscription lapses and you don't renew.

I am getting a Technet subscription as I want to install Exchange and sharepoint to further my career and work are too tight to buy me one but can't see the point in renewing it every year. Does Microsoft cripple the software in any way after it expires?

    Cheers

nope the images and product keys are identical to the ones that Microsoft issues with retail software. they do not expire when you sub lapses either.

Don't forget that it is only for evaluation purposes and not for a live environment.

Although I wonder how many people actually adhere to the EULA

    Re: Technet

Cheers for the replies. I wouldn't be using them in production just purely for testing as I work in IT and need to get hold of Windows 2008 and Exchange mainly as it's a big chink in my knowledge. I might take a subscription out every few years.
