Well i currently had bit defender 2009 from the free code thing and theres also one for kaspersky 2009 so was wondering what one is better in general?
Used Kaspersky for years now. Dont have anything bad to say about it. Very compatible runs with many other malware programs and protection. KIS gets my vote.

I used to use Bitdefender a few years back - moved from that to F-Secure to KIS. Says it all, really.
+1 for Kaspersky internet security.
I was using NOD32 but, have recently changed to Kaspersky - mainly because of price but, Have to say it doesn't slow the PC start up like NOD32(later version) did.
You can get a free Kaspersky AV if your using 7.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
kaspersky 2010 is out with some cracking new features http://forums.hexus.net/operating-sy...ky-2010-a.html
+1 for Kaspersky!
Kaspersky.
On a related note, has anyone seen the kaspersky video with jackie Chan fighting Viruses ?
I'd also get your wallet out and purchase the latest version of the security suite as these tend to be much better. 1 years security for a PC can be now be purchased for less than the price of a round for 4 people.
Go on you know your PC security is worth it!

I was always contemplating purchasing kaspersky but the last one i tried messed up windows 7 twice and also stole about 80gb worth of storage for.... log files!. I did look at some av reviews and it seems bit defender is better? I think ill stick with the 160days left for my BD then try kaspersky again cause it saves me more really.
Thanks.
Seems to work OK for me.
Just saw it!!

Kaspersky is bloody awful, bloated software. BitDefender is OK, doesn't hog the system too much and has pretty good definitions, but the winner is NOD32 every single time, low footprint and epic definitions.
There's not a lot of point in buying security suite products either because a lot of you will be behind NAT, which is essentially an inbound firewall anyway, which is the main concern for a firewall. The only good a firewall will do for a user who is behind NAT is being able to control the IP transit of applications running on your computer, which, let's face it, causes more problems than it's worth.
Just get the anti-virus product.
