I want a virtual drive program, would of thought they'd include something like this in the OS seeing as you can download iso's from the MS site...
Need to be x64..

Daemon tools will do the trick nicely![]()
Moo.
Don't use Daemon Tools. It can affect your optical drive performance. Instead use SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive.
+1. I'm using SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive too, it's brilliant and FREE!
Daemon Tools uses ring0 though, people tend to call programs that do that 'root kits' and avoid them.
I use WinCDEmu in XP, and it works in Win7:

Very basic, only for .iso files, but works perfectly.
I installed it a week or so ago in my 64bit Windows 7 (TechNet RTM) in VMWare and the regular install .exe worked fine.
+1 For Virtual Clone Drive here.
I used to use Daemon all the time, and although it is quite easy to use, i did have problems with it forgetting which image was mounted. Virtual Clone Drive is easier to use and less clunky IMO, and, as mentioned above, it is free for the full version, unlike the free Daemon which is limited.
I also use Virtual Clone Drive (with W7 RC) and have no issues, I use it mostly to check my dvd iso's for menu glitches etc before I burn them. I originally installed it when I had issues with vlc media player and windows 7.
don't drink and derive
power iso
Try magic disc. it's my backup for when clone drive does not work
