Uploading an image captured from webcam in a HTML page.

Hi all, just wondering what would be the best way to implement my bosses latest hair brained idea :D

He wants our clients to be able to capture an image using a webcam, and then upload it to our server with a few details such as name, membership number etc. The server will be the same server that is hosting the page.

At the moment my options I think are writing something in activex (no FF support though), flash or a java applet.

I'm quite liking the java applet idea at the moment, mainly due to the fact that the only version of Flash we have here is MX and maybe that could limit what I'm able to do?

Any thoughts on these options? Such as which would be easiest, I've no real experience with Flash or writing java apps, I've pretty much ruled out activex from the outset.
