    Google mail help

    I use Opera browser and keep getting this message evertime i log on to my email:

    Gmail requires cookies to be enabled

    Cookies are enabled!! Is this normal for Googlemail / Opera?

    Although not very helpful, I too get this error when using gmail within Opera.

    edit nope. Opera 10 and win7 ultimate on my netbook and I don't get any errors.

    When do you get them? when loggins in?

    I haven't changed Operas security or cookie settings at all from defaults.

    No I remember getting something similar with Opera on XP. IIRC I solved it by adding google mail to cookies exceptions list or something. I can't remember exactly but I think if you go in to site preferences it's in there somewhere.

    Works fine in Chrome and IE.

    Right click on Gmail page, the click edit site preference near the bottom of the list and check it says allow cookies on the cookies tab.

    And don't forget to uncheck 'Delete new cookies when exiting Opera'

    By careful selecting of Site Preferences, I don't have to log in to any forums - unless I'm a bit too enthusiastic with cleaning up occasionally!
