Great feature, in theory. The idea of it is, rather than forcing you to manually enter the date and time as you would've done in previous versions of Windows, with Win7, you can just click a little button in the Time & Date settings utility thing, and it'll automatically synchronise with the time server and set your system's time to being exactly correct.
Unfortunately, well, my suspicion is that there's a security certificate being passed back and forth between client and host before the time can actually be updated. Security certificates are great, except they tend to not work if something is clearly amiss somewhere, like if the time and date settings on one machine are - ah, I think you can see what the problem might be there. And that's why I'm writing this post, now. It's late, it's dark, it's cold, and I don't want to get out of bed to see what the clock downstairs says, making this quick rant here my easiest option. Silly Windows.
