Question Error writing files to disk with W7

I seem to have this strange issue where every now and then, the OS fails to write or save a file which has been in use.

This can either be a document like a word or excel file (Office 2007) where it says I don't have permission to save. Try again and it saves fine.

Or sometimes, I can be batch processing photos, and every now and then, some photos are saved/created but result in 0k files. If I retry, all is OK.

    Any ideas?

My harddrives are OK, no problems, and I didn't have that problem with the RC, only have it now on the RTM. I can try a reinstall, but would like to get to the bottom of the problem first.

    Thanks

Where are you saving these files, is it a system folder? I sometimes have problems unzipping using WinRAR to system folders, if i run WinRAR with elevated privlidges it sorts the problem. I put it down to UAC, in my case.

Re: Error writing files to disk with W7

Ive had similar effect in W7 64bit when using Adobe Bridge to generate a photo website. Several of the photo files would end up as 0kb. Run it again and it might be OK or it might make different files 0kb!

I don't know if it is a W7 issue or an Adobe issue.

It's not a system folder. Can be my users directory or the desktop.

Hmm, looks like there are two of us with this problem! I'll have a look on the adobe forums
