Abaxas, it appears you crossed the line. I can't help you anymore.
I warned you. I tried to tell you be more dipolimatc, but you didn't listen. Now you're been Zak-slapped. You are therefore dead to me.
RIP Abaxas.

It is funny how many bio scientists use Macs. I thing it is the user interface which endears them to many and the fact that applications like Photoshop have for a long time worked better on them(probably not true for the later releases I think). TBH,I like Macs as they do work very well for the applications you buy them for,the user interface is simple to understand and they look nice too. In some cases too like with the original Mac Pro it was actually cheaper to buy one than a similarly specced Dell workstation!
OTH,I like tinkering with software and computer hardware so a Mac is not for me.
However since the best software for most of the equipment we used at work ran only on PCs we only had a few Macs.

IMO vista really isn't that bad, sure it had some teething problems. OSX has more than its fair share of faults I'm sure? I seem to remember there being an update that broke some mac books not that long ago and apple only have to deal with a small number of hardware configurations.
There really is no need to argue its just personal preference... the only point I will make is that PCs are better for games than Mac and you can't aruge with that. Both do everything else equally well.
Oh and Zak is a moderator (And then some hence the orange text... Hexus staff? (without checking)) abaxas, he isn't saying you are breaking the rules you are just aggrevating other hexites and he is indicating that he will close the topic before it goes too far and someone does break the rules.

I suppose I am at fault for starting this thread.. all I wanted was some ranting space, but never expected things to go so hostile..
I'm just mostly sick of a significant proportion of apple mac users religious preaching and requesting that gravity to be centered around Jobs..
Just to correct for this, I believe its time to close this thread, as I've just got my pitiful revenge as one of them mac users just got the royal lecture session with the boss due to low productivity in his research... *most probably due to his mac.. hehe.. sorry my bad*
Zak, if you could do the honours...
Me want Ultrabook

rules... ? that's harder. Some rules aren't written down anywhere... but they just "exist"
It's quite legal to buy a Mac, for example... but it doesn't make it right now does it?

On another note, I missed my 1,000th post. ******* puffins conspiring against me again.
