Web browsers: The new 'whiter than white'?

My title refers to the 80's and 90's washing powders that would always try to out-do one another finding new degrees of cleanliness from clothes, leaving me to often ponder (particularly when 'Daz' would bring out a 'new improved' version) what was actually so wrong with the previous version, despite the previous claims to the contrary!

Anywho, we now have a brand new version of Firefox out, version 3.6. Good. Great. Super.
And each version is not only faster than its competitors, but faster than it's own previous version.
    What's that?
    Faster?
    Quicker?
    Speedier?
    Our fastest version ever?

Where have i heard that before?

So my only question is.... how far can this go before it's so fast that time itself implodes?

PS For the record, i'm not finding it particularly faster at all once you add on adblock etc.
I'm commenting on an internet forum. Your facts hold no sway over me.

+1 I've found performance has gone downhill since version 2. Similarly I've encountered silly CPU usage/Flash/java issues on Ubuntu since ver 3. (this seems fairly common according to the ubuntu forums)

Still, I'm looking forward to Chrome's completion - ohhh for that v1 freshness
