Windows 7 accessing other drives
I have 2 hard drives in my pc, 1 running win7 and the other running XP.
I have all my music on my XP drive and whenever I try to access it, I have to click continue to give myself permission to access it. This happens with other folders as well. I am running as an admin login.
Any idea how to switch this thing off so I can access anything on either drives without annoying prompts?
Re: Windows 7 accessing other drives
Sounds strange, I have a similar sort of dual boot setup and I do indeed get that popup when accessing the 'Users' or 'Documents and Settings' folder of another windows install but only the first tiem I try.
I only have to do it once and then it seems I'm allowed access for ever, not sure why it needs you to confirm multiple times.
Are the User Account Names the same? (assuming it is a user folder you are trying to access, non user folder shouldnt ask for permission at all)

7 completely banned me from getting into certain folders on my Vista install, I nearly went insane... how can my own computer ban me from seeing my own files?
Re: Windows 7 accessing other drives
Your UUID between the two installations differ.. NTFS is funneh like that. Try adding your 7 user to your XP/Vista partitions ACLs.
It's a PITA, but, ah well.
