Live audio streaming..

Hi Hexus massive! Its been a while since ive posted on here, ive turned into a bit of a lurker! ;)

I need to find out about live streaming of audio across the net, basically i wanna broadcast my live dj mixes to my mates and board friends.
Ive done a lot of research into different kinds of software which can do this but i havnt found the ideal solution yet.
I know real player do a free software which broadcasts to <40 ppl but need payment to use the >40 version.
Nullsoft do a netcast prog too which would be good as most ppl do still use winamp.
Can anyone help me find out about proffesional streaming and software which does it and the best non-proffesional software.
I bet there is software out there which is perfect for the job but its just a question of knowing it excists!

forgot to say if i can do it from a flash based web site or with some sort of flash server that would be most ideal!

I think flash servers will cost as well. Best bet is to go for the netcast one. I think there are API plugins for it depending on what language you want to write it in...

yeah, I know a few people that run their own net radio station, they use the winamp thingy, but bare in mind there are other costs involved now, mainly related to song licensing..
