    automatic wake on lan

I have just installed a small media playing PC in the bedroom, its running win7 and connected to my network via cat5. I would like my main rig that hosts my media files to automatically turn on when my media player is powered up. Currently got WOL working using
    http://www.depicus.com/wake-on-lan/wake-on-lan-gui.aspx
but would like it to happen as if by magic.

    Any ideas peeps?

The media PC is an acer revo R3610, rather pleased with its media playing abilities.

    cheers

Could you use the task scheduler to run a WOL batch file when the media player executable is run?

I use a WOL add on for media center, it sends the packet once Media Center loads. I'll have a look for it later when I get home.

    Re: automatic wake on lan

CHeers for the suggestions, the media centre add on sounds like what I am after. Found a slight problem this morning, my main rig hapilly woke up from being off, but didnt wake from sleep mode. Have just change the power profiles for now. Also waiting for a media remote to turn up, then I should be 90% complete.
