    Folding and Windows 7

Anyone managed to get this all working?

I've now got my quad core beast so about time i should start churning out some points - and the GPU should be better now...

What's the best choice of client? (esp now I can smp fold)

    Re: Folding and Windows 7

Works fine for me, what CPU you got? Not a i7 is it?, I use the system tray client for the GPU mainly because the CLI client had issues for me.
Give me a shout on MSN later if you need help

    Re: Folding and Windows 7

Cool ok, just the SMP client then and get the updated EXE which is on the download page, and run the GPU client along with it, make sure both clients have different machine ID's when setting up.

    Re: Folding and Windows 7

'Fraid you won't get many PPD with an ATI card at the moment, the drivers aren't particularly good for Folding. This is one realm where the green machine holds all the cards! Anything from A GTX 260 up would serve you well.....

Yes they are. I'm getting 1-1.5k points per ~10 hours of folding on my ATI 4000 series card. That compares to about 30-50 points I could get from my CPU in the same time.

So in the same order of magnitude, which is what you'd expect. But it's several orders of magnitude higher than my CPU, so seems to be working fine.
