One can never stop saying Thank You![]()
It seems to be for corporate only or does it apply to retail/home users as well?
AFAIK, for anyone who signs up to OVS. Am considering it, but need to look into it more

OVS is a complete rip off.
An OVS sibscription is more than 1/3rd of the full price of any of the MS software you can subscribe to. Considering it only lasts a year, that's not very good.
Also, the 50% discount only applies for the first year.
The only benefits of an OVS are that you don't have to run through your beancounters every time you want to purchase more/newer software. You just have to deal with them every year.

I just checked out the MS 'Ultimate Steal' offer but it looks like it has expired.

If you had an *.ac.uk email address (staff or student) you could download a Win7 Pro ISO for £30 (+£9 if you want a back up disc) and Office (complete) for < £40 (again +£9 for disc.) both on a 'Perpetual License.'
It says its an 'upgrade' but I gather that digital river chose their words poorly (i.e. existing XP, Vista not actually required) as it has been reported as working fine as a clean install.
Sorry if this might have been useful to some.
