    AVG - Weird Message

Just had a message popup from AVG saying something along the lines of:

"Email Scanner - connecting to customer####.pool1.fareham-HAM####-BAS####.orangehomeadsl.co.uk" (have removed the numbers just in case)

However, I'm not with Orange ADSL and I don't have any email accounts setup on my PC... What the heck is it doing? It keeps popping up...

Any ideas? Have run a few scans (AVG, Malware Bytes, Spybot S&D etc), but found nothing. Could it be a trojan mailer on my PC?

    Re: AVG - Weird Message

Could be something perfectly innocuous - for example, if you are running a bittorrent client it's possible that someone else has their torrent client set to use port 25, which may trigger that kind of message.

smsniff is a decent (but slightly limited) tiny sniffing app: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/smsniff.html

For a second AV opinion go to http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ and let it run (works better in IE).
