If the part of the disk which had the files on now has something else on then no, you probably can't recover them and to be frank after reformatting and reinstalling the OS and apps the chances of getting it back are slim. PhotoRec is another useful file recovery tool. The morale of the story is - always keep a backup of important files!!

Easeus data recovery wizard is thought well of in tech circles, you have to buy it though or find it somehow else.

Re: can i recover lost deleted files?

    +1 for GetDataBack

It is the best data recovery software period, saved my life many a time, it even does RAID!

ps- STOP using the effected PC (if you haven't already) and put the drive in another PC to do the recovery,

every time you boot it, even just to use a web browser etc, you risk overwriting and corrupting the files you want to get back.

    Good luck with it!
