Outlook settings via Script

Afternoon.

Is it possible to change the settings (specifically SMTP and POP3 server) of the primary e-mail address in Outlook 2000/2002/2003 using a script or something (I dunno, kinda like an INS)?

start loitering in virus newsgroups, there'll be lots of people who know how to change outlook's behaviour with scripts easily

we use the registry - export the outlook settings into a reg file, then use a batch file to run the reg file on startup...

yeah thats what I first thought, but I searched the reg for the name of the current mailserver and couldn't find it.

Any idea where I'll find these settings in the registry, I am struggling!

cheers, but that wont work with the situation I am in.

We are about to change the IP addresses of a load of servers including the mail server. This also involves going round to each machine and changing the mail settings too. The problem is external users, who don't actually connect to the network, they just dial into the mailserver.

I think the easiest way is to probably just write a guide for the users to follow, and get them to shout if they cant get it to work
