    Some Coding Questions

    Hi guys,

I've been asked to set up a website and I've got a design sorted (pretty much), but I'm a bit stuck on the next bit.

The website needs to have login functionality, with an admin back end to add/delete users. When the user has logged in, I need them to be able to view PDF files that are hosted on the server, through the website.

I know it's possible, but I was just wondering if anybody knew any good tutorial/guide kind of websites that will help me creating the login and admin functionality.

    Any help appreciated

    Peter.

If you want to have a go yourself W3Schools.com has excellent free tutorials.

PHP/ MySQL may be favourite for 'free' solution.

If you're up for trying asp.net there are templates that start you off with basic functionality like login. You can use the visual studio express editions for asp.net development, I can also recommend the beginning Asp.Net 3.5 in c# and vb which would be useful for you.

I'll check it out, but I think PHP would be easier for me?

Thanks for the link, been looking at W3 for a while now. PHP and MySQL is what I am comfortable with (from my limited experience), so I'll be using that.

phpBB seems a bit much for what I need, but I'll try it out anyway. Thanks
