Cant open setup.exe or itunes! help plz

ok so i tried to open itunes just now can it wouldnt open at all.
looking at task manager the process starts, but nothing actually happens.

have tried to reinstall itunes, but it didnt help.

so i thought i would reinstal my os (windows 7 RC)
but the setup.exe for that will not run, but the process starts as with itunes...

any ideas what is going on?

try running it on a older OS (compatibility OS) under win7 - might fix it

ok running in compatability mode of xp and vista dosnt help...

from my experience of itunes this week, I think you've had a result cos it varies in poohness.

On a serious helpful note, have to you tried using Windows System Restore to go back a few days to when it worked ?
