need admin rights to open program-windows 7

On trying to open a program i have installed i get the message "registry was not able to be initialised. User with admin rights has to start the program".

Thing is there is only one account, which is mine and i am the administrator.

    Any ideas?

The easiest way is just to do what matty said.

You can also right click on the program, click Properties, select the Compatibility tab tick the "Run this program as an administrator" check box and click apply.
