In the next month I should be able to get my computer back up and running (house electricity has been playing up) So when all is sorted I intend to get Windows 7 and start afresh. Now while looking on play.com I saw Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium / Upgrade for £67.99 . Now am I right in thinking I would need to upgrade from vista to sue this? (I'll be upgrading from XP) The reason I ask is that one of the reviewers said this:
"Microsoft played a crafty one here folks , yes its supposed to be used as an upgrade but you can also do a clean install on a new build with it, you just need to install over the top when it dont accept the key the first time, you see as long as it finds a windows folder the key will work fine.
so buy this one and not the retail and save half th price in the process."
Can anyone confirm this??? Otherwise i'll have to fork out £129
One other question i want to add here instead of making anew thread is this:
I have all my itunes music backed up on to a external hard drive. Now when I install windows 7 and get itunes on it, do I simply just move the music back to the itunes folder?
Thank in advance!
