    Firefox issues

Recently firefox will be working ok then it will stop responding and a white like film will appear over it (can't really explain it better than that) I am using the latest version of firefox and as far as I cam remember this did not happen before. I mean it has done the 'not responding' thing before but that was once in a blue moon.

Anyone else having the same issue?

    OS: Vista 32 bit

Aye, it usually happens when the HDD is really busy. I'll probably stay with Chrome once xmarks for Chrome is done, it's the only 'firefox' feature I need.

Heavier reliance on SQLite, crappy caching code, and so forth. It's not exactly 'new', it's just more noticeable now, since the problem has been snowballing.

Mine was fine until it tried to download updates for themes (which I was not using) and since then it has done the white film thing - not all the time but, occasionally. I've now removed all the add-on tat I don't use. Will see how it goes for a few days before commenting on if it cured it or not( I doubt it has).

I'm still switching between Vista and Win7 and TBH I would not say it was much different to Vista 64 from a users point of view - Maybe a bit more eye candy. The only thing which I do appreciate so far is that you can shut down in 2 clicks of the mouse instead of having to select shutdown from a drop down list in Vista.

    Re: Firefox issues

Another issue has popped up tonight :| For some reason firefox takes a little longer to load things then it did before. I have been having speed issues with VM line but the last few speed tests have shown 4.5mbps to 6.5mbps so things should be ok. I have tried IE and it seems fine with no issues.
