IE7 but CSS
Hi there,
I cannot figure out why my site acts up in IE7 when it works fine in IE6 and IE8 and all other browsers I've tested.
http://devoncomputerrepairs.com/
When I hover above the buttons under the text on pages the support, development and strategy boxes disspear all together.
I have tried setting the h index values higher with no luck and have tried using the CSS for IE6 with IE7 and it worked although fonts were different and the layout was not right (locally) but when I uploaded the CSS file to webserver it did not work at all?? I do have a feeling it has something to do with the ancher tags # in links from google.
Does anyone have any ideas what causes this to happen as it is driving me mad.
Thanks for any help!!!

Re: IE7 but CSS
Had a similar problem, which did end up being IE having trouble with z-indexes. You could try setting some different values (such as using a negative number to try and force things to the back). Have you tried changing the z-index of the divs that contain the things that are disappearing?

Re: IE7 but CSS
I did try changing the z index's of the divs but it didn't seem to have any effect.
I ended up with it being completely removed but it was showing the letter "A" to the right near the bottom so I have just gotten rid of the whole lot now, which took a while as I had to zap out a load of code for every page.
I have gotten rid of the buttons and replaced them with text and don't have the problem now at all but thats because I've gotten rid of the tables etc that used to exist, not that it can be seen right now due to the server being too busy, apparently.
I had a reply on another forum yesterday stating the code at fault and I removed it, thanks
