    Free 3D Software

Is there any free 3D Software that anybody knows of, sort of like a 3D Paint, only you make models, not pictures?

    Thanks

    Mike

Well there's Caligari Truespace 3 which is often offered free on magazine covers. It is a fully featured 3d modeling program no restrictions just a few years old but tbh it has everything that you need for even quite complex stuff. Probably limited in the rendering area but perfectly acceptable.
I dont know if you can download it from their site but if not it was in PC Pro a few months ago and in 3d World about a year ago if you can get back issues with the disks?

try Gmax if you are wanting to do 3d models. Its basically a free cut down version of 3d studio max. You can nab it here ---> http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/

Mind it is a basic 3D Studio Max cut down but if you are wanting to do models, maps, meshes this is worth the download
