When I first switched my home PC onto Win 7 Beta I found myself doing this with Aero Peek taskbar thumbnails when I was in work. I'd hover my mouse over the taskbar button, wait about 5 seconds, then suddenly realise that I wasn't going to get a preview because I was in work, not at home...

I fixed that problem by deciding it was time to test Windows 7 well in advance of any rollout.
IME Windows 7 has been brilliant with few problems apart from printers. Printer drivers are a nightmare for Windows 7 corporate systems!
We'll eventually resolve the issue when we virtualise - we'll just create a new print server and use the latest drivers on that. We can't replace the drivers with newer ones on the current server because they are notoriously for clashing with other printer drivers.

its the big button with a joystick on it above the F4 key.

I'd love Windows 7 at work, but central IT are dragging their feet - they're estimating general roll out in June 2011! In the mean time, I've had to fight tooth and nail to buy 3 standalone workstations with Windows 7 on - the IT purchasing managers have been told not to authorise any purchases including Windows 7. Cue repeated *headdesk*...

Ah-ha, thanks, never thought of messing with that one since I don't use a joystick, lol. :)

Am I right in thinking that unlike Vista, W7 will let you uninstall MS programs like IE8, WMP etc? If I am, then there's a tip if you don't use those.
