    Java Problems

This may require a little explaining to get to the point but here goes...

The Game Kings of Chaos is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game...

The aim is to make it to Rank #1 to get that you need Soilders and Officers...

Officers are people who sign up under you (they refer to you as 'commander')..

Soilders are gained mainly through the clicking of someones link like this one
    http://www.kingsofchaos.com/recruit.php?uniqid=45btvjc8
(to give the soilder you have to click the number... and after that click join the war if you wish to become my officer )
For every click you get you get one Soilder and every 2 your commander gets one soilder...

    Now...

Large alliances are formed in the game to help each other out! (mine currently has 400+ people and growing.. (note the game has OVER 150 000 people playing))

These alliances have click lists that the members of the alliance should click through several times a week (it is impossible to click a link more than once a day as the server logs the IP address you use and stops more than one click per 24 hours)..

My alliance has helped another alliance in making a new click list it uses java and brings up the numbers for clicking so you dont have to load a page every click...
    here it is....
    http://kocmou.dyndns.org:8080/koc/index.php
(click click all alliances to bring up the java thing)

The problem we have is that MANY people have problems running the Java thingys....
The only way we have around it is to tell them to update Java and disable firewalls and alot of the time that doesnt work...

How can we make it all work the same without the problems?

(a direct download of the JAVA file can be found HERE )

what about signing the applet? this means you should be able to get people to auth it once, then you should have no issues.

if you drop me the source to scott at harman dot tv I'll have a fiddle - there are a few resource guides out there - but it's the only way to guarentee your applet can run cross-site and on occasion get to other bits of the sandbox.
Not something I've played with before, but my OOP lecturer said that it's easy enough.
