Can I go Raid Striped from existing installation?

Thinking of getting another 640 GB Western Digital WD6400AAKS and running striped to speed up Windows 7 installation. Questions are:

    1. Will there be a big speed improvement?
    2. Can I convert to striped without having to re-install everything (image backup/restore maybe?)

I have an Asus P5Q Pro MB.

    Thanks.

Raid 0 striped is what I was looking at. It also has IntelĀ® Matrix Storage Technology Supporting RAID 0,1,5,10.

I do also have backup in place.

i just booted the games rig and the option was there to go raid 0 and pick the drive to keep the data (would only allow the system disk to keep the data) so it look slike its a yes
