    Video Converter

I'm looking for a video converter that will convert a mov file to a something smaller, preferably an avi one. I've tried using a bunch of free ones but either they don't work or they force the original file which is 16:9 into 4:3, which is less then convenient.

    Re: Video Converter

Just tried it, when I add the file it comes up with an error message saying that there is a problem with the title. Will try and re-download the original later to see if that helps.

    Re: Video Converter

I have nothing but problems with Handbrake
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Did you find something that does work in the end?

    Yes & no.

It just annoys me that everyone can seem to get Handbrake to work but not me - which is annoying as its quite an efficient program.

What did you use in the end then? I'm determined to get this done whatever it takes now. I refuse to let a video file mock me.

    Re: Video Converter

I've recently started using ogmrip, which is easy to use and gives good results.

EDIT: ogmrip appears to be *nix only
