Do you have any add-ins or similar that you need to do your office work?
if not run the 64bit version.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
I've been using the Beta for ages now. Just installed the final (been meaning to do it since it appeared on TechNet).
I really like Outlook. Always used it and probably always will.
Looking forward to playing around with Microsofts online document storage as my better half also has 2010 on her laptop.
Outlook is great if you're running & syncing to an exchange server. Otherwise, it's a pretty poor mail agent. And if you're saddled with running Outlook + the Oracle Connector for Outlook, invest in a pre-booked block of counselling and some good recreational drugs / alcohol, because you're going to need something to ease the pain...
Well, against an IMAP server, it's a Win95 app with ribbons glued to the top.
With our departmental Exchange server, it just doesn't work. In the end I had to go registry hacking to try & get the thing to run, after I made the mistake of running it & trying to use the departmental exchange server as a primary.
Odd. I know that when we move to Exchange at work we have to have Outlook 2007 to make best use of the server, but I'm amazed that having too new a version of Outlook would cause a problem. Although it does sound kind of Microsofty, doesn't it... here's a fantastic new updated version of Outlook, oh, and you'll have to pay us a whole load more money for an upgrade to Exchange if you want to use it
Well good for you! In the end, I switched to Thunderbird 3 for talking to our Exchange server, via the IMAP compatibility layer. Outlook 2010 is a travesty, and the fact that people consider it a "killer app" for Windows is a demonstration of just how many stupid people there are in the world.
Still using 2003. Does all i want.
