Eh? Mine says 66Mb. Did you include Safari and MobileMe? I hate the way Apple try to sneak Safari in there when all you want is iTunes.
Nope. Just the latest iTunes update. 121Mb in total, iTunes only. Even 66Mb is too much IMHO.
It's because it's not an update, it's the new version, and most of what you already have
Going from 9.2 to 9.2.1 is hardly what I would call a version jump. especially not one that needs a 121Mb download.
but apple are cool, and hip.
unlike the old PC.
Unless their adverts aren't true.
Especially annoying as 9.2 was only out a few days ago.
I hate iTunes, or more to the point I've grown to hate it in Windows flavour. Just tend to find that it eats RAM like there's no tomorrow.
buy a new car!
OK, slightly more complex solution then - replace your iPod *and* car, then stop using iTunes :p ;)
I'm looking for some software thars a suitable replacement for iTunes and doesn't come bundled with Safari AND QuickTime.
iTunes certainly doesn't come with Safari. It does with Quicktime.
I always been a big fan of it even though I don't have iPhone/iPod.
Simply as a music player its great + it pics my flac files from my NAS...
Sorry I was thinking of when it updates.
I still don't understand why QuickTime comes with it. Is it needed for iTunes to function correctly ?
The update installer had the Safari and MobileMe options already checked and lined up for install even though I didn't have them on my system in the first place. If you were just rushing through you could easily miss that and install them as well as iTunes and/or quicktime.
