hi nthere is no sound from speakers headphones etc, it happened when i got vista new then one of windows updates corrected the problem, i have checked all the settings and they are all correct nothing is muted turned down etc
hi is it a good idea to uninstall the old driver and replace with new,its a medion pc but the updates are for realtek and it says i have a creatix?
i cant find the drivers for the creatix SAA7131?
The Creatix SAA7131 appears to be a tuner card rather than an audio output. Realtek drivers are mostm likely what is needed.
If your system is prebuilt, try the manufacturer's website for audio drivers for your system and install them. If that fails (or you ahve a self-build), I've found that DeviceDoctor can be a very simple yet useful tool for finding missing/old drivers. Just download it, install it and let it scan. Then scroll through the results to see if it has a suggestion for your audio driver and try that.
i am getting really fed up now, i have done everything i can i have even upgraded to win 7 in the hope it would cure the problem.
in the sounds check box there is an option for hdmi which is enabled the sounds icon has an arrow but you cant change the settings is this the correct setting for the sound?
i have downloaded the new drivers etc

Make sure your default playback device is the speakers. Try disabling everything else too.
you upgraded to Win7 to fix a sound issue? Devotion
OK... here goes.

check to see if your machine has drivers for Win7. If so, make sure you download the right ones and install them.
