What's the best way to get rid of 'that' virus!

i have had about 50 people come up and ask me how to get rid of this pesky virus that shuts your computer down every 6 seconds? i have done it a few times, but wondered if there is a good patch or tool that will clear it out...

not quite, to abort the shutdown do.. start -> run -> "shutdown -a"

next run the patch.. to prevent repeat infection

then lastly run one of the many msblast fix tools (symantec do the best and most regularly updated one IMHO: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...r/FixBlast.exe)
