KIS2011, worth the upgrade from 2010?

    Hello,

I'm currently using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, and I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle to upgrade to 2011?

Does the newer version actually offer better security? If they've simply made the program more flashy, I don't think it'll be worth my time to go through the hassle of upgrading.

I can't find any information whatsoever on the internet comparing the new version of KIS to the 2010 version.

    I'd appreciate any advice!

    Thanks,

    Odai.

Re: KIS2011, worth the upgrade from 2010?

I didn't have any major issues upgrading from KIS2010 to KIS2011, just ran the installer from Kaspersky's site on both my XP Pro x64 and Win7 Pro x64 rigs. Minor issue was parental controls were on by default.

If anything it is more quicker than 2010 though its been annoying me lately as my license is about to expire and it keeps reminding me with a popup. I do have a new KIS2010 3 user pack which I got cheap. You can use KIS 7.0/2009/2010 activation codes with 2011.

Re: KIS2011, worth the upgrade from 2010?

I tried it and when I tried to open photos with 'windows photo viewer' I had problems, Then found out it was a Known issue with KIS 2011 so went back to 2010 again.
