jealous of all these bonus points people are getting, i still use a lowly dual core e6320 which is REALLY showing it's age, but literally so poor atm so no money for an upgrade :(

Quick step by step guide to set up SMP:
1) Download SMP client here
2) Unzip in to folder with write permissions, e.g. C:/Users/David/FAH
3) Right click on the Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe and select create shortcut
4) Right click new shortcut and click properties
5) In the target box, type "-configonly" right at the end without quotes, click ok
6) Launch shortcut
7) Enter info as normal, answer yes to change advanced options
8) Keep hitting enter (unless you want to change other settings) until you get to "Additonal client parameters", here enter "-smp" without quotes
9) Keep hitting enter and the window would eventually disappear
10) Delete shortcut
11) Run Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe
Just "-smp" or "-smp x" where x is a variable ?
100% on all 8 threads and the right core ;)
How do you guys restart the program - by clicking on the .exe in the \FAH\ folder as thats where most of my problems seem to lie :(
"-smp x" where x is the desired number of threads. e.g. "-smp 3" on a quad core will free up one CPU core, 75% load, can be useful while running a GPU client.
Just "-smp" will automatically set as many threads as cores your computer can offer including HT cores.
EDIT: I start my SMP F@H client from a desktop shortcut, my client is re-named fah6.exe
I didn\'t add configonly flag but does that matter? I think everything is runnign smoothly so should I worry? :S
I'll double post, but this is worth it:

Yay :clapping:
I'll try undervolting it, we'll see how it goes. Will post the results in my undervolting thread and post a linky here :)
EDIT: results from undervolting here.
How can i get the GPU2 client to run at start up (like a service) ?
Doesn't seem to be anyway to add it into the start up items in MSCONFIG :/
There's a command I think, have a search around.
Apparently my server is just about to complete its 4th WU since friday. Woo! Must go and see how many points I'm generating (then maybe stop folding during the week in case work get suspicious about the sudden increase in both electricity and network usage ;) )
Nice one, keep it going ;)
Just a quick update and faux question.
Overclocking my CPU up to 3.3GHz from 2.8GHz cuts a step percentage in more than half - how is this possible? At stock is takes 10 minutes for one percent and at 3.3GHz its takes around 4 minutes, 5 at most.
