I find I can only get through the bigadv units when folding under a Linux VM (fedora). Otherwise I never make the deadline. Strange.
Is it worth upgrading to the GPU3 client with ATI cards yet?

I think GPU3 is only a good upgrade for the 5000 series cards. Not sure there are any performance ains to be had with an older card (not sure what you have). I know that GPU2 is still the best for anything pre-fermi.
Yeah, I have a 5850, but using the -forcegpu ati_r700 parameter.
I'll try it when I finish this WU.
Managed to get two WUs done, but loads stopped well short. I'll give it proper look tomorrow I think.
EDIT: Actually, I notched the GPU OC all the way back to stock and it seems much better now - it must just be very sensitive to overclocks.

At least its under a year now.
I'm looking forward to doing the stats this week.... wonder who'd be the most improved folder?
A few more months of you folding and Hexus team will be flying up those charts! Any chance you can keep it up that long though?
:)
Nope. Four of those servers have had folding closed down on them this morning although I did hit my mark of over 100k points in a day.
I do have another 2-3 large processor servers to bring on though so they should replace and possibly add more points into the mix.
Well, I've got Thursday and Friday off as it's my B'day, and I've got a Core i7 920 which I know will do 4.2 Ghz 24/7, and 2 watercooled GTX 480's which I'm rebuolding those two days. Hopefully I can get it all up and running without too many problems - I'm aiming for the 1m points per month, which should be achievable with all the kit I've got. Once that's done, I'll be rebuilding my home media server to put it into a new case, at which point I can then drop in the larger PSU and the GTX 285 from my test bed, leaving my test be free to fix my other w/C gtx 295, which, when fixed, will replace the 285 in the server. That should kick out some serious points per day.
I do hope that you can keep the Hexus points coming on. I've not seen the points pile on like that in my time folding, but there again, I've only been onboard for 5 months or so.
It's great now that it's colder. I am literally using the folding to heat a floor in our house, as well as the obvious jobs of being my media server!
One of the benefits has been that my room is at a constant 23 degrees, which is perfect for my homebrew experiments.

Beer
Face it, this is far more accesible than benching on superpi, and is something that EVERYONE can do, and it does have a genuine benefit....
Beer!
You should all try it...
:)
well, I'm 87% through yet another 2M WU, this one is my 11th though so comes with loverly bonus points :D I'm going to fold until this one is finish then close down for the weekend. Don't think I'm doing too bad though considering I've only actually spent about 9 days folding so far...
I'm on my 3rd/4th 2M WU and its only my 8th on the SMP :(
Muahahaaaaa
Just finished one and got a 500ker to boot. That\'ll be me getting about 7k poitns today then :D
Well it's not exactly bad spelling, it's a typo. I didn't actually think that points was spelled 'poitns' :D
Well, I fired up another 24 core server today so thats 3 of those beasts running, alongside another 6 quad cores (8 if you count ht) so lets see how the points come in overnight.
Look at the chart from extremeoverclocking tracking ppd for the team. Definite upward curve there even if you discount the spikes!
