About LinkBacksIndeed. Since starting 2 clients at about 8am I've accumulated 1,022 points. Seems pretty damn low to me, if we say that's 1000 points in 7 hours then that's @ 3,500 PPD.Originally Posted by nibbler

Are you definitely running the SMP client with the SMP flag and getting SMP units? I'd've thought a 3.5GHz dual would net you nearer 2k...

Isn't SMP designed for 4 cores and up?
@Streetster, if you've got an i5 750 you would be best using the SMP client rather than the GPU2 client.

Nope, SMP is anything beyond 1 core.
AFAIK, SMP is designed for any number of cores > 1. I'm pretty sure nibbler used to run SMP on his Athlon X3 with pretty good results...

Terb might be if he manages to get back up and running some time. I almost certainly won't be since I can't afford to fold 24/7 on Kali, even when I get her finished and rigged. I'll have to just give the occasional weekend boost to the team, I'm afraid. Still, I've now managed to get up to 3.5Kppd on my work machine, so perhaps if I do get a bit of cash spare at some point I'll knock up a < 100W rig based around a 605e and start churning out points on a low power SMP rigyou're coming to get me?

I've been folding almost 24/7 over the last week or so, but I'm probably only going to have another few days of that before I have to shut my work machine down over Christmas (office is closed, so probably best not to leave it on really). That'll should give you a sporting chance

A lot more. You get bonus points on the SMP client after your first 10 works units and also it will be a lot more productive per watt as well

For comparison, my (effectively) Phenom II X4 @ 2.5GHz returns ~ 3.5k now I've hit the bonus points. If you're folding 24/7 you should get through the first ten WU within a week (unless you hit an unlucky run of big units!).

Hmmm, I believe the bonus points are awarded per client, and I'm not entirely sure how they determine the client, but if it's anything that's held locally then I'm afraid you probably will, yeah
