Contact pages on website - email, form or both?

    Hi all,

I'm getting myself a website together and I'm trying to decide what to have on my contact page. Phone number and skype are both going on there, and I was also going to put a clickable email link in.

However, it's been suggested to me that with not-so-tech minded people, a clickable email link is effectively a shortcut to an outlook installation wizard, which makes a lot of sense. I dislike forms though, to me they're destined to go into a big bin somewhere and be ignored; I want to feel like I'm making personal contact when I send in info, which is what a non-generic email address gives me.

So what's the accepted solution nowdays? Plain text email and a form? Clickable email and a form? Just a clickable email? I know it's a little thing, especially because there'll be a phone number and skype address on the same page, but I'd like to get it right!

    Cheers!

Whats the site for? I went with a form to avoid spam & you can always redirect the user to a 'I'll get back to you asap' message

Photography, offering a pretty personal service. Not too fussed about spam tbh, it's a work-only address and filters are pretty good nowadays. 8-10 spam messages a day really isn't much of a hassle.
