    Norton Systemworks

    I've been using Zonealarm free personal firewall, and AVG antivirus free edition for some time now. I was just wondering whether it's worth me spending a bit of cash on summat like Norton Systemworks, or System Mechanic, to keep my comp runnin nice and smooth, As I think they have firewall and antivirus in there packages, plus other stuff to keep my system sweet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Norton Systemworks is the worst suite of programs I have ever dealt with.

    To be honest you'd be better off with 100 viruses - they take up less RAM.

    It is bloated, and unhelpful.

    Keep is simple, keep it clean, keep it free, and don't run any stupid files. That's a far cheaper, and more effective way of keeping the system in good shape.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    So your suggesting that I stick with the free editions of AVG and Zone alarm? I run Adaware frequently also wich tends to remove bits of crap from my system......Cheers, you've just saved me 45 quid

    Well obviously my opinion is mine alone.

    However the setup you have there sounds pretty good to me.
