well my system -
sn41
1gb of pc2700 twin mos
xp2000
does a unit in about 8/9 hours
how many points do you get per unit ?

Avg. Results Per Calendar Day 2.33333
With a mix of machines, a 300mhz celery, a p3 900mhz and a tbred 2.0-2.4ghz
I normally get between 300 and 500 points per unit
but other people get different amounts depending on the spec
I'm guessing the faster you process, the more points you get....
No, the faster the processor the less points you get per result. I think Trash and Moby also restrict what units they do? Possbily cure for cancer only, or only doing the non profit ones which could affect their results?
Either way, UD really isnt quite an exact a science as Seti. We're doing it for the cause rather than the stats I guess.
EditOops, missread that. Yes I agree. The more units you process the better no matter what. I think it works out that no matter how slow the cpu thats submitted the unit, you arnt going to get anything like 2x the points as a faster processor submitting it.I'm guessing the faster you process, the more points you get....

There is method to our madness...
Say that through seti we find an alien race, that hands us over a cure for cancer... Then what would all you UD ppl say about that. Still every little help I suppose...
I feel that giving money to charity for research goes further than crunching for UD. Personally I will stick to this method for my input into the cancer research community.

I assume a result is a unit? An average of 5 and a half ours per each then.

Smallpox...Couldn't figure out how to change it :$
go to device manager,
go to profiles,
edit the default profile,
scroll down, make sure smallpox is unticked, and the other one's ticked... this is also where you change how much hd space you dedicate to it (not that it seems to make any difference, except for your machine's score in the ud agent)
hope that helps![]()
