    slow boot up

I have problems with my poor PC, I bought it about 3 years ago, the allocation is quite old now, so it runs very slow and needs about 10 minutes to start up, the IE often get freezing, I wonder are there any easy ways to improve my PC’s performance???

when was the last time you springcleaned your pc?

download ccleaner, http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/ install it then click on run cleaner
the first time i ran it, it found 1.5gb of rubbish.
also go to the tools section and then startup.
disable every entry except antivirus and any windows entries. eg. sidebar etc...

    also do a spyscan,
if you havent got any i would recommend
    spybot search and destroy
    malwarebytes
(all these programs are available for free at www.download.com)
update these and run the scans
if there is spyware on your pc it can severly slow down your internet.

also do a full virus scan (overnight is best)

    download revo uninstaller
    http://download.cnet.com/Revo-Uninst...-10687648.html
this is way better than windows add/remove. revo scans the registry for leftover files. windows add/remove does not do this. and remove any program you dont need/want.

when all this done then defragment your harddrive
go to the windows orb then just type defrag into search bar and run it. or download defraggler.
all these will speed up your pc

I would say be very careful with CCleaner, I've found it doesn't make much of a difference to speed and it messes with some things it really shouldn't (bad default settings). Only tick the things you know are safe to delete, if you don't know what they are you should probably leave them. I do agree with scanning for nasties though and Malwarebytes is very good.

Simple level that you may not have tried - check your hard disc for free space (ideally at least 10%) and also clean out/delete the temporary files and any other redundant material that you do not need.
RAM could be an issue - have you enough. When you first started the machine ran fast. Now you have cluttered it up with data and problably additional programs as well as all those various updates over time. If you have less than 1Gb RAM then consider adding more, it will make a difference.
Spring clean - dust accumulating in fans, coolers, cases etc. will have an impact on operation.
