Any ideas what we should do for the 2011 foldies? Similar style or should there be some targets set up front? The whole idea of this was to raise awareness, and keep people interested, so any ideas are welcomed!
no idea to be honest. I dont even know what servers I can use past jan. It may be that I have to drop down to 3-4 servers for a while or I may get some quad processor boxes, giving me a couple of 48 thread boxes to use for a while.
Fingers crossed anyway.
If only I had the ability to install folding at work, that would be 132 very lightly loaded 2.3ghz intel dual core workstations, and 4, 4 socket quad core opteron systems, alas there is no chance of that happening as even if I was in charge of I.T at my place, we work with sensitive data and it would never be approved.

Actually, after I hit "post" it occurred to me that it did sound somewhat suspicious, but I couldn't be bothered to rephrase it. I want a new job, I have experience dealing with sensitive data.

I work for the dwp, and I doubt I will be working here in 6 months time due to the various cuts (have not got a permanent contractOooh, sensitive data handling establishment in the North West? Got any jobs going?) I am not based in Manchester though, so the local offices there may be in a different situation, check out the dwp site for any vacancies.

It's not too bad, I work at the P part of DWP and don't really do much of the W part lol
I quite enjoy it, but I am sure there are better jobs out there for me, it is a lot better than what I did previously, that was a right b@#tard of a job.
