    MSE 2 Firewall Controls

I'm giving MSE 2 a go at the moment, but cannot see the firewall controls it's supposed to have

    Any ideas?

The only thing I noticed was the prompt to allow it to turn on the Windows firewall if it didn't detect a third party firewall during install. No real controls to speak of.

MSE doesn't have any firewall stuff at all. If you are using Vista or 7, then you don't need a separate firewall at all.

    Hit the windows key
    type firewall
    hit enter
lots of things to fiddle with

Yup, I know how to configure the firewall etc. in W7, but:

There's only the network inspection option under there. I was just expecting more controls as mentioned in the news article.

Why duplicate the controls when you can do all that from the Windows Firewall UI?

Maybe the idea was to make it easier to understand for people who are used to Norton or something? The Windows Firewall isn't very welcoming to most people.

    Re: MSE 2 Firewall Controls

You guys have the wrong idea. I'm only quoting what was said in the Hexus article. I'm not suggesting they integrate it all in one, I really don't want it to turn into a Norton type product. I am quite familiar with the separate controls of the firewall, but am wondering why in the Hexus article it says it's integrated into one interface now.
