    Its a con - do not respond to it. Trying to think of where to send it. Something like spam@ebay.co.uk - its a con to get your password. They can then access your account and sell nonexistent items (usually rolex watches and stuff like that) using your positive feedback.

    I get one of these every week or so, It is a fake, as I haven't had my account suspended as they say....

    Have you sold something on ebay recently and added your email address on the listing, I found that they became more frequent when I did this, so I leave it out now.

    Almost certainly a phishing scam, I assume the email is in HTML format?

    Right-click the email body and view source, find the href="..." for the link they are trying to get you to click on - chances are that there's a "%00" in there, so the bit after this is where they really end up taking you.

    And to think us FireBird users don't have any web address problems, lol.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    I am suprised you haven't received an email from ebay telling you its a con.
    I received one from ebay telling me about this scam, but haven't actually received the scam email, lucky me

    Anythng like this is always a hoax, although I admit it takes a bit of pondering. I remember a while ago there was a scam where AOL customers were sent an email saying they had been entered into the monthly AOL prize draw and all they had to do was click the link included, enter their username and password to log in, and they would be told whether they had won.
    Of course with AOL this was a bit more serious really. As AOL have your credit card details on record and allow you to buy stuff from their 'AOL shops' which is just charged straight to the accounts registered credit card

    Glad I am not with AOL anymore

    Don't bid on any high value tech item, you get 100's of emails offering "the same item at a special low price" .. "just send £500 to..."

    eBay's a joke these days, if it's not scam artists, it's idiots bidding retail prices on 2nd hand goods or n00bs using automatic last possible second bidding tools
