Makaton is a sign language for special needs people; so if you are confused thus far you need not read on.

I am after a way to type words in say Microsoft Word and would like the Makaton symbols to appears as i do so. Has anyone here any experience of Makaton writing and may know if its possible somehow? Internet search just turn-up commercial (i.e. i gotta pay ) ventures, although if it does actually work with MS Word i may be willing to pay. I saw someone using an application that did add the symbols as you typed but forgot the name now - it certianly wasnt Microsoft.
Can anyone help in any way?
